FLAME: Acolytes return
Margie and Mike Gaudet to spearhead acolyte groups beginning in the fall
Dear members of the Acolyte Family,
Guess what? Acolytes are coming back to St. Luke’s, and we can’t bring back this ministry without each of you. We’ve sorely missed seeing the cross and candles (and you people!) coming down the aisle. And, missing this reminded us all of the importance of this ministry, and of what you young adults bring to our worship. We thank you, and we miss you terribly.
Jane and Jim Thompson, who have so long guided this, have stepped down. They’ve done a magnificent job and will be sorely missed. We surely can’t fill their shoes, but Mike and I will be picking it up from them. We’d like to re-imagine our acolyte group as a group that does more than just Sunday service, as we envision meeting for fellowship from time to time.
No worries just now about scheduling and such – we’ll work all of that out to fit what you can do. We’ll be getting all of this ready to start in the fall.
We’re calling our “new” acolyte group, FLAME and we want to welcome you back with open arms, so please let us know if you’d be interested in serving at the altar and being part of the fun!
