The Reverend Trish Toburen (Mother Trish) is an accomplished Associate Rector and School Chaplain with a rich and diverse background. Growing up in Tallulah, LA, she cultivated a passion for education and communication. Her journey led her through various academic pursuits, culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Speech Education and French Education from LSU, followed by a Master of Arts in Speech Communication from the same institution.

Trish's dedication to education extended to leadership roles, earning her a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. With a remarkable range of certifications, including School Counselor Grades K-12 and Educational Leadership for Administration Grades PreK-12 her expertise is evident. 
Having served as a high school teacher, counselor, and administrator for nearly 40 years, Trish's impact spans both parochial and public education systems. Her teachings in religion encompassed Hebrew Scripture, New Testament, and Social Justice. Married to Dr. Robert Toburen, she is a proud parent and grandparent, residing in St. Francisville.

Trish's commitment to social justice extends globally, evidenced by her visits to the Franciscan Sisters' medical clinic in Aquin, Haiti, a favela in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and her time teaching in Jiaxing, China. Her adventurous spirit also led her to conquer the Machu Picchu trek in Peru and embark on a pilgrimage to Iona, Scotland. Trish's dedication to education, spiritual guidance, and worldly exploration defines her as a multifaceted and inspiring individual.
