Sunday Kids of the Kingdom

St. Luke’s is committed to the safety and wellness of all children.

Rest assured that your child is in a safe and nurturing environment, under the care of well-trained and loving staff members. The two-adult rule and the “Safeguarding God’s Children” program, which focuses on child abuse awareness and prevention, are standard training for all of our staff and Children’s Ministry volunteers.

Bringing your children to church

Children are always welcome in our worship services! If for any reason you need to step out, you’ll find a family room near the main entrance of the church with lots of picture books, a rocking chair, and a diaper changing station. You are also welcome to use the activity bags found in the church foyer to help your little one enjoy the service.

About the nursery

Open to newborns through four-year-olds, the nursery is located just down the walkway from the church. From the parking lot, walk past the main entrance to the church, round the corner, and follow the signs to the nursery; or ask anyone for assistance. The nursery is open from 8:00 am until 11:30 pm every Sunday, with at least two trained staff members.

Starting September 12th, the nursery will be open from 8:45 am until 12:00 pm.

Children’s Chapel at 8:45 am

Children’s Chapel is offered during the 8:45 am worship service for children ages four to eight. Before the service begins, you’ll see a Children’s Chapel adult leader carrying a special banner near the church entrance. Children are invited to gather at the banner and follow the leader across the breezeway to Pope Hall for special prayers, lessons and songs during the service. The leaders will bring the children back to church after the sermon to sit with their families.

Sunday School at 10:15 am

St. Luke’s has an extensive weekly Sunday School program for all ages at 10:15 am. From our Play & Pray group (ages 2 & 3) through high school, kids learn to apply the teachings of Jesus to their lives with family and friends.  Customized curriculums are taught in a laid back setting with fun games and activities for hands on learning.

Maps to our classrooms can be found in the church foyer, or ask anyone for directions. Once you’re in the right place, you’ll be asked to fill out a brief registration form which asks for contact information, photo permission, and allergy notices. At 10:45 am, parents may pick up their child from the classroom.
